It is the policy of Trueline Products Limited to ensure so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of all employees working for the company and other persons who may be affected by our undertakings.
I acknowledge the key to successful health and safety management requires an effective policy, organisation and arrangements which reflect the commitment of senior management. To maintain that commitment, we will:
i) Provide adequate control of health and safety risks arising from our work activities
ii) Consult with our employees on matters affecting their health and safety
iii) Provide and maintain safe plant and equipment
iv) Ensure safe handling and use of substances
v) Provide information, instruction, training and supervision for employees
vi) Ensure all employees are competent to do their tasks, and to give them adequate training
vii) Prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill health
viii) Maintain safe and healthy working conditions
ix) Review and revise this policy as necessary at regular intervals
All employees have a legal obligation to take care of themselves and others. They are informed of their personal responsibilities to take care of themselves and to ensure they do not endanger other persons by their acts or omissions. Employees must co-operate with the organisation to comply with the legal requirements placed upon us and in the implementation of this policy. I will ensure continued consultation with the workforce to enable all viewpoints and recommendations to be discussed at regular intervals.
I will ensure a commitment to continual improvement of the OH&S management system. I also commit to a systematic approach to identifying hazards, assessing the risks, determining suitable and sufficient control measures and informing employees of the correct procedures required to maintain a safe working environment.
I regard all health and safety legislation as the minimum standard and expect management to achieve their targets without compromising health and safety.
